Dennis GAITSGORY Mathematics, professor, Harvard University.
In a collaboration with Dima Arinkin, David Kazhdan, Sam Raskin, Nick Rozenblyum and Yakov Varshavsky, DENNIS GAITSGORY formulated and proved the Trace Conjecture , which expresses the space of unramified automorphic functions as the categorical trace of Frobenius on the category of automorphic sheaves with nilpotent singular support. In the process of doing so, they also proved a number of long-standing conjectures, including Laumon's conjecture that Hecke eigensheaves have nilpotent singular support.
